Welcome to the Neurophysiology Lab at University of Oregon!
Main interests of our lab include:
– Investigating the neurophysiological changes that occur with advanced age and how those changes impact physical function.
– Investigating neuromuscular fatigue.
– Investigating changes in cortical excitability and inhibition with concussion.
We use a variety of techniques to study the neuromuscular system including surface and indwelling electromyography (EMG), electrical nerve stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS).
